 The Mercer County Consumer Network (MCCN) was developed to help honest, hardworking businesspeople become more successful, thus creating a consumer-friendly environment for the residents of our region. The MCCN achieves this through a variety of offerings:
- MVP List - The go-to site for consumer needs. Every business member is automatically included in our web-based directory of select businesses in our corner of Western Pennsylvania. Our goal is to provide consumers with friendly, reputable choices for their product and service needs.
This is not a general listing of every business in the county. Rather, membership is limited. A small number of businesses in each category - distinguished by locality and specialty - ensures that members are not competing against each other. In this way, members can feel comfortable trading advice and customer referrals.
- Virtual Network - MCCN businesses can communicate with each other using an online forum. Our Virtual Network allows you to seek advice, pass on referrals, join discussions, or assist in other business matters. Login is required for this secure zone, and all MCCN members are encouraged to participate.
Success of the network depends on an open dialogue between members. We strongly recommend you login daily to get the most out of this benefit.
- Promotion and Advertising - The MCCN will continue to find traditional and innovative ways to bring consumers to our site - to bring you potential customers. We will represent the MVPList at events (such as chamber mixers, golf outings, charity events, etc.). We will advertise in the paper on the radio and other outlets.
- Marketing - Understanding your company's strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats are the four cornerstones to building a solid marketing plan. We assist our clients in reviewing these areas to determine where to focus their marketing efforts and how best to spend their advertising dollars to become more effective and cost-efficient.
